Lake Country EHS uses a learning management system (LMS), Litmos SAP in order to deliver custom and regulatory compliant online and blended training programs. This system allows trainees / users to access the training programs through a smartphone App and/or any web browser. The ability to offer users an online training program has many advantages for businesses. Lower costs, self-paced learning and real-time results including tracking how long it takes a user to complete the course. Our training programs are interactive and developed for all levels of learners.
 
We have teamed up with a cloud software organization, local to British Columbia to offer our clients a portal for tracking employee training records including a notification system that emails users and administrators 90, 60 and 30 days prior to requiring re-training. No more stress to employers not being in compliance!

OUR PROGRAMS

IVES Counter-balanced Forklift Operator & Re-Certification

[Theory] – 2 Hours

This online course covers the theoretical portion (Operators Training Manual) of operating counter-balanced Forklifts (Class 4,5). Upon registration, each trainee will receive a hard-copy of the Operators Manual as well as access to this course online.

This course includes:

  • Rules and Regulations (CSA, ANSI and OHS)
  • Employer and Operator responsibilities
  • Components of the machines
  • Hazards and safety controls
  • Pre-Use inspection 
  • Safe Operation and more!

Practical Onsite Training & Evaluation

In order to receive a full Operator’s certificate of completion (under provincial and federal requirements), each Operator must receive hands-on demonstration and evaluation operating the equipment. Contact us to schedule the practical training with our qualified IVES train-the trainer instructor. Practical training must take place within 1-2 weeks of completing the online course.

Upon successful completion of this comprehensive course, a certificate of completion will be issued to the Operator. This certificate is valid for 2 years. Trainees require a passing grade of 80% to complete the course.

In order to be eligible for the re-certification training, the Operator must possess a valid, current IVES Operator certification to be provided to the instructor at the start of the practical training session.

Cost: $200 + GST for New Operators, $185 + GST for Re-Certification

IVES Combined Aerial Lifts (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) Operator & Re-Certification

[Theory] – 2 Hours

This online course covers the theoretical portion (Operators Training Manual) of operating mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) including scissor-lifts and boom-lifts. Upon registration, each trainee will receive a hard-copy of the Operators Manual as well as access to this course online.

This course includes:

  • Rules and Regulations (CSA, ANSI and OHS)
  • Employer and Operator responsibilities
  • Components of the machines
  • Hazards and safety controls
  • Pre-Use inspection 
  • Working at heights
  • Safe Operation
  • Rescue and escape planning and more!

Practical Onsite Training & Evaluation

In order to receive a full Operator’s certificate of completion (under provincial and federal requirements), each Operator must receive hands-on demonstration and evaluation operating the equipment. Contact us to schedule the practical training with our qualified IVES train-the trainer instructor. Practical training must take place within 1-2 weeks of completing the online course.

Upon successful completion of this comprehensive course, a certificate of completion will be issued to the Operator. This certificate is valid for 3 years. Trainees require a passing grade of 80% to complete the course.

In order to be eligible for the re-certification training, the Operator must possess a valid, current IVES Operator certification to be provided to the instructor at the start of the practical training session.

Cost: $225 + GST for New Operators, $200 + GST for Re-Certification

IVES Telehandler Operator & Re-Certification

[Theory] – 2 Hours

This online course covers the theoretical portion (Operators Training Manual) of operating Telehandler / Rough-Terrain Forklifts (Class 7). Upon registration, each trainee will receive a hard-copy of the Operators Manual as well as access to this course online. This course includes:

  • Rules and Regulations (CSA, ANSI and OHS)
  • Employer and Operator responsibilities
  • Components of the machines
  • Hazards and safety controls
  • Pre-Use inspection 
  • Safe Operation and more!

Practical Onsite Training & Evaluation

Principles of Fall Protection (British Columbia)

[Theory] – 2 Hours

This online Fall Protection online course covers the theoretical portion of working at heights hazards, the hierarchy of controls, rules and regulations according to British Columbia’s WorkSafeBC requirements, CSA Standards, fall protection system selection, personal fall protection equipment specifications, inspection, fitting, use, maintenance and storage and much more. This course is appropriate for all industries from residential and commercial construction, oil and gas (NON-OSSA) and maintenance industries.

Practical Onsite Training & Evaluation

Our qualified instructors will come to your workplace to conduct hands-on practical training portion of this course in order to validate a worker’s competency and complete the WorkSafeBC training requirements. Contact us to schedule us in!

Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be issued to the trainee. This certificate is valid for 3 years. Trainees require a passing grade of 75% to complete the course.

Cost: $75 + GST (online portion only) 

Practical training is an additional $75 + GST per person.
